In Conversation: Larry Kramer and Jonathan Katz
In commemoration of World AIDS Day, the Brooklyn Museum presented a conversation with Larry Kramer, author of Broadway hit The Normal Heart, and Jonathan Katz, co-curator of HIDE/SEEK: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture. Kramer and Katz discussed the play, a response to the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s, and how the issues that faced the gay community then continue to be relevant today.
This event took place at the Brooklyn Museum Thursday, December 1, 2011.
