Country Backing Track - Slow Ballad in C - Guitar Jam Track
Here's a slow country backing track that I recorded in the key of C at 110 bpm. In the jam track video, you'll see the pentatonic scale charts that you can use to practice your lead guitar. It shows the C major pentatonic scales and the C minor pentatonic scales.
It sounds the best to use the MAJOR pentatonic scales to solo over this track, but you can use BOTH the major and minor pentatonic scales to solo over this progression. Use your ears a guide and try to see where you can use the minor pentatonic scales to give your solo a bit bluesier sound.
Also, the Blues Scale (not shown in video) is the same thing as the Minor Pentatonic Scale except you add an extra "blues" note per octave. You can find the KEY OF C Blues Scale Charts here https://countryguitaronline.com/blues-scales/ that you can also use to solo over this progression.

IF YOU LIKE THE TONE of my guitars, a lot of my tone is shaped by the guitar picks I'm using https://woodtonestrings.com/products/78mm-woodtone-flex-grip-rounded-teardrop-matte-black
And I'm also using Woodtone Country Series strings on my Acoustic Guitar (Martin D-18): https://woodtonestrings.com/products/country-series-acoustic-guitar-strings
