Westbrook's CATASTROPHIC Blunder RUINS Jokic's CAREER Night...

Russell Westbrook did something that only a child could do in the finish. This might have been the absolute worst sequence in his entire career, taking away Denver’s win, and ruining Jokic’s epic 60 point triple double night. And we got madness in Memphis as well, with Steph Curry going super saiyan on the Grizzlies throwing nuclear bombs from everywhere.
But We gotta start in Denver where Nikola Jokic had an awesome kick off.
When the Joker opens the game with 16 points in the 1st, you know it’s gonna be a long night for the opposition. With no Jamal Murray or MPJ in this one, Nikola carried the Nuggets all by himself. So, they trailed by 5 points entering the final period, but here comes another explosion by the big Serb. A 10-0 run sparked by Jokic flipped the game into their favor. But the Wolves had a couple of players in the mood for a battle as well.
Randle and Edwards brought Minnesota right back into the game after trailing by 11 points in the 4th. And after another miss by Denver on the other end, ANT pulls out the flamethrower.
Edwards with 13 of his 34 points in the final period puts his team up by 3. How do Nikola respond? Doing what he knows best, and that is bullying Rudy Gobert like his own little brother.
So, after a couple of empty possessions on both ends, Ant Man has a chance to put the game away, but instead…Down by 2, the ball is in the hands of the best player on the planet.
Jokic gets past Randle and draws the foul by Gobert. Now he has to stay calm, which he certainly does by knocking down both shots in the clutch like it’s horse grooming.
Still, the Timberwolves have the final shot for the win. Edwards passes the ball for a change, but Randle couldn’t hit the game winner either, so we go to overtime. In OT however, the Wolves striked first. The young leader gives his pack a 6 point lead with 2 minutes to go. But the Nuggets veterans won’t raise the white flag yet. Jokic and Gordon deliver with back to back 3’s to make it a 1 possession game. And things are just now starting to escalate because…
Woow, Nikola ties the game with his 56th point of the night, but he gotta thank the Wolves for committing 2 crucial errors right before that. First, ANT throws a risky crosscourt pass straight into Braun’s hands, and then he and Randle inexplicably switch on Jokic on the last play, awarding him the mismatch. Unbelievable. Regardless, they have 7 seconds to make up for what was lost. They get not 1 but 2 chances at the end, but Walker’s shot is short and Watson denied Jaden’s tip-in to send the game into double overtime. Once they got there, the Joker was determined to close it out on his own. 60 points and a 3 point lead with 2 minutes remaining. This man is no Joker, he’s a BAD MAN! Westbrook on the other end, loses focus of Edwards who gets the ball on the cut and lays it in over Jokic to take back the lead for Minnesota. Back and forth we go. Now, it’s Aaron Gordon’s turn. Gordon swishes his 4th 3 of the night, but Nickeil Alexander Walker says: I got 1 more than you. Geez, we’re taking out the big guns, whoever blinks first loses. And look at Nikola casually dropping a behind the back pass at the 11th hour. Russ goes to the line and hits the first one, but misses the 2nd and the refs can’t decide who touched it last so they call for a jump ball at halfcourt. And the Nuggets would get another chance at the free throw line after McDaniels fouled Jokic in the circle. So, with the game on the line, after logging 52 minutes of playing time the MVP misses the first, but luckily nails the 2nd to get the slight edge. This leads us to the ultimate chaos at the end. OH MY GOODNESS, Russ blows the wide open layup on the fastbreak and then fouls Alexander Walker on the 3 point attempt to give the Timberwolves 3 penalties for the win… What a disastrous ending to a perfect night for Jokic. A career high 61 points and the triple double just to be ruined at the end by 2 catastrophic blunders by the Brodie. What an improbable way to lose a basketball game. Let’s move on to brighter topics like the Steph Curry spectacle in Memphis. The Chef started the game on fuego hitting 5 of 5 from the field and the Warriors jumped to a 17 point lead over the Grizzlies. When they were chasing him over the top, he hit Jimmy on the roll. And he made sure to finish the 1st period in style. 5 of 6 from downtown for Curry and a 45 point quarter for Golden State. Amazing. But he didn’t stop there. He kept on firing heat checks in the 2nd as well. And the Grizzlies got as close as 2 points but Steph responded in the most Curry way possible. This man is an absolute sniper! But he was all alone in the 3rd quarter, and despite continuing with his sizzling hot performance, Memphis was closing in. The Grizzlies took over the lead, and the entire arena erupted when Bane got wide open in the corner.
