INSTRUMENTAL Garden Walk | Early June Perennial Garden Roses and Peonies
A quick garden walk set to calming music with footage from June 6 and June 7. Here in our zone 6b Rhode Island garden, the roses, and peonies were looking fabulous. The walk features our Sarah Bernhardt and Karl Rosenfeld Peonies, David Austin Generous Gardener climbing rose on the archway, Catmint, Purple and White Salvias, David Austin Desdemona rose, Agastache Golden Jubilee, Amsonia, and Geum.
The star of the show the first week in June is our David Austin 'The Generous Gardener' climbing rose. This is year 3 for this rose, planted from bare-root, and it's almost completely grown over the arch. I fertilize it with Espoma Rose Tone in early April and do a good structural prune right before the rose breaks dormancy (late March here). The scent is amazing!
We are gearing up for a bit of a garden edit so check back to see what we add/move and the new color scheme!
