And in today's video, I have something very special for you. I'm going to walk you through and explain Pinterest basics specifically how to use Pinterest to drive traffic to your website as a marketer, as an author, as a course creator. You can use Pinterest to bring brand new targeted, and free traffic to your offers, whatever they happen to be. Now, if you're interested in more extensive Pinterest training, I actually have a free resource for you. Here's the link to that - ❤️ https://danielhallwebinars.com/pinterest . Also, if you want other free videos and special reports and other cool goodies, make sure that you subscribe to the channel. If you haven't already done that. And of course, hit the little bell notification as well. That way you won't miss a single video ever again with that, let's jump in right now. So what is Pinterest?

It is a marketer's dream and here's why you see any posts that you make on Pinterest can be seen by all Pinterest users, not by people that follow you, not or not just by people that follow you. They don't have, they don't have to be friends. They can be anyone. They don't even have to be logged into Pinterest to find you. That's really, really cool. Especially when you stop to consider that any post that you make on Pinterest can be found even years later. That's because Pinterest is like YouTube archival in nature. And what I mean by that is, well, let's say that you started on YouTube back in 2009, and you put up your very first video then and you made it public well, that video is still searchable and find-able to this very day by anyone who visits YouTube, they don't have to subscribe to you.

They don't even have to be logged into their YouTube account to find your video well, such as also the case on Pinterest, anything you put up on Pinterest can be found once again, even years later. So when you understand those two things about Pinterest plus the whole culture and backbone of Pinterest is in sharing or what Pinterest calls a re-pinning, you start to get a little idea of just how powerful Pinterest can be from a marketing state standpoint. So what is Pinterest? Essentially? Pinterest is like an online bulletin board. So it's mostly for collecting some kind of media, visual media of some kind. So you can put up things like YouTube, video, cinema graphs, animated gifs, and the like, but it's mostly about static images like PNGs and JPEGs and, and P and G and G files. And these sorts of files. The other thing, and I really want you to understand this, that people go and use Pinterest to discover and save new ideas while it is true.

Pinterest is a social platform. It is first and foremost, and this is a writer downer, a search engine. Okay. People go to and use Pinterest, just like a search engine. The other thing to understanding Pinterest is that these ideas can take any form at all. Okay. And could be around or related to any niche, including your niche under the sun. So these ideas can take the form of, you know, recipes, DIY projects, business to business types of subject matter, and everything in between. Okay. Now the other really cool thing here, and it's a really important point is that every single post is called the pin. So a pin is a post and every pin must include some kind of image. Now, while every pin on Pinterest must have some kind of image, it can, in addition to the image, have a description and a link back to that, that image is a source online.

Now that's so doggone important that I, in fact, highlighted it here in red for you, so that you understood that you could essentially S embed a loop, the link behind any post, any pin on Pinterest, and send people just about anywhere else. So people can click on your pins URL, and they can find out more about the idea that that pin represents and potentially act on it. So what I want to do now is I want to walk you through and show you how most people pin and a repin on Pinterest.
