A-ZX: adidas ZX 8000 "L" - two shops, one project

As part of this year's A-ZX series, adidas Originals has teamed up with the LEGO Group to interpret the silhouette of the ZX 8000 more playfully than ever before. The Danish toy manufacturer brings its unmistakable look to the adidas archive icon and shows that you are never too old to play.

L for LEGO: This unique ZX 8000 is a tribute to the classic LEGO brick that has shaped so many people's childhoods. The sneaker is made of a multi-colored mesh fabric in the classic LEGO brick colors red, yellow, blue and green. The upper material is made of synthetic suede and is placed on a rubber outsole. The shoe has LEGO studs on the heels. The tongues of the sneakers have the LEGO logo. Yellow insoles and six colored laces with exchangeable LEGO bricks complete this unique sneaker.

For the first time in the history of adidas Originals Germany, two large sneaker stores are joining forces to celebrate the launch of the ZX 8000 LEGO together. 43einhalb and Overkill visited the LEGO headquarters in Denmark for the campaign production. The results will be published on the social media channels of both partners.

At the heart of the collaboration is an incomparable stop-motion film which recounts the journey of the two stores to the LEGO headquarters in miniature format.

For the campaign, the ZX 8000 LEGO was also produced in oversized size by Germany's only certified LEGO model builder in Niemegk, Brandenburg. A total of 8000 LEGO bricks per shoe were built in 40 hours. The XXL-LEGO shoes will be exhibited at 43 1/2 in Frankfurt and at Overkill in Berlin.
