Grateful Dead Road Trip - Dead & Co Live Concert in Saratoga Springs, NY.

I get an email from Shmul Zifim, a good friend, “You MUST go to the Dead & Co concert in Saratoga Springs”, he writes. I had never visited Saratoga Springs, NY or been in a Dead concert so I ask friends to join. It’s already the day of the concert, and neither my girlfriend or my friends can come. I text my "Deadhead" friend for advice, “Go there!!” he answers. So that’s exactly what I do. A Road Trip.

After attending and enjoying the Dead & Co concert by myself, here are my 5 tips you must follow to enjoy a Dead&Co concert -

1- Rent a big car to sleep in at the end of the concert. Don’t forget to bring a pillow and a warm blanket, big enough for two ;)

2- Go online and get your ticket in advance. Don’t wait for a miracle!

3- Keep a positive, friendly and open mind set to meet new people and friends. Everyone is in a good mood. Enjoy it.

4- Consume your preferred drug - weed, alcohol, psychedelics or what ever makes you happy.

5- Get the tie dye tour t shirt and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream before the concert ends. You will save yourself a half hour waiting in line.

If you are new to the Dead, make sure you have a friend that knows the their culture and can explain you all the customs, lingo and traditions.
