Orson Welles: The Death of Privacy?

In 1973-74, Anglia Television (part of the UK's ITV network) presented an anthology drama series, Orson Welles Great Mysteries*. As well as hosting the 26 episodes, Welles also wrote the opening and closing monologues, which were filmed by Gary Graver, his regular cinematographer at the time.

Welles' final thoughts on the episode 'For Sale - Silence' are intriguingly prescient, touching on aspects of the surveillance society and even anticipating so-called 'reality television'.

[*The lack of apostrophe is as per Anglia's billing.]
