Jamaican Parliament Passes Law to Make Portmore the 15th Parish!
Jamaica’s Parliament today in the House of Representatives passed the law to establish Portmore as the country’s 15th parish, with 28 MPs voting in favour, 10 against, and 24 absent. However, the Opposition PNP argues that the move is politically motivated, especially in an election year.
