Matchbox Super Kings Fury Road War Rig (109) #warrigMLMM #MadMax #FuryRoad

On the bench today is a Matchbox Super Kings K-115 tractor cab with a K-103 articulated tanker trailer. It’s my epic summer of 2021 build - the Gaslands war rig. I’m taking some inspiration from the Fury Road film, of course, but doing a lot of freelancing too. It’s the biggest project I’ve taken on so far, and it’s only my third Gaslands build. I probably should have learned to walk before I tried to run, but strap yourself in for a little bit lengthier video than normal on my channel (there’s an intermission in the middle!) and see what I can create. For the first time since I started this channel, I feel like a model maker instead of just a model painter. It was a great outlet for my imagination and creativity.

FYI: I don't collect, display or sell the cars, and they’re certainly not competition entries. All of the Maple Leaf Matchbox Makeovers finished projects that are kid-friendly are put in custom blister packs and go to my local Goodwill store where they are given to children for free. If there are parts that can be swallowed, those cars are given as gifts to adult collectors that are fellow enthusiasts.
