Scotland's top Whisky Guru, Charles Maclean discloses his favourite whisky.

Charles Maclean holds the Whisky industry's highest award, the Master of the Quaich; not surprising as he was quoted in the Times as being Scotland's top whisky guru. Charlie really opens up in this light hearted interview with John Harbour of Exclusive Scottish Visits, disclosing his favourite whisky and also his favourite whisky book.
It is great to hear the antics of working with the acclaimed film producer, Ken Loach, in the film The Angel's Share and how he nearly turned down a once in a lifetime invitation to the Cannes Film Festival.
Charles holds degrees in Art History from St Andrews and Law from Dundee. He is a writer to Her Majesty's Signet, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a visiting lecturer at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington. He has published 17 books including the leading book on Whisky which, having been translated, is enjoyed in many other countries as well. Charlie's other publications include Whisky, a Liquid History and Maclean's Whisky Miscellany. He was founding Editor of the Whisky Magazine and has hosted a TV Channel dedicated to the World of Whisky.
