Diagnosing R6 idle issues (2003-2005)
I break down the possible solutions and likely culprits of poor idling for the 2003-2005 Yamaha R6. I also include my own experience with an idling problem as well as my actions that I took to mitigate the problem.
1. Ignition Coil
2. Spark plugs
3. Throttle Position Sensor
4. Idle screw or throttle assembly
5. Vacuum leak, such as the air box not being tight enough on the throttle body
6. Internal engine component (such as valve cover)
