Jet Jointer JJ-6OS Rust Bucket

A quick mini restore of a rusty Jet JJ-6OS jointer. I found it on Craigslist in October. It looked like it was in bad shape, but since the motor was running and the table and fence were flat I decided to take a risk on it. Looking at the rust damage, it looks like this has been left outdoor in the rain.

I need a jointer for a dining room table I'm planning to build soon. I was planning to repaint it, but I really need to get the dining room table done asap, so the painting will have to wait.

I found a manual online for the JJ-6OS, so I went ahead and disassembled the whole thing without taking detailed photos or videos. When it was time to put it back together, that's when I realized that all the JJ-6OS manuals online were for a slightly different kind of model. It took a lot of trial and error, but somehow managed to put everything back together.

Posting this online, just in case somebody else is reassembling this same model. I hope this might serve as a helpful reference.
