CHRISTMAS BAKING | VEGAN RECIPES | GLUTEN FREE BROWNIES | VLOGMAS DAY 15 🌲🌲
Hey guys! I've used this recipe in the past its one of my fave healthy baking recipes. Please let me know if you make it!
4 large sweet potatoes or 8-10 small ones
1 cup almond butter
1/2 cup maple syrup (or to taste)
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup gluten free flour (or flour of your choice)
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Dark chocolate chips (get vegan/carob ones if you want to keep it vegan)
Set oven to 425, roast sweet potatoes for 45 minutes. Make sure they are soft and turn the oven off, letting them sit in the oven for 15 more minutes.
Remove sweet potatoes from oven (make sure to turn the oven back on to 425) and peel the skins off. Place all the sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl and add almond butter and maple syrup. Mix well.
Add baking soda, flour, salt, and chocolate chips and stir all ingredients together.
Use oil to grease an 8x8 inch pan and pour in batter. Top with more chocolate chips to taste.
Bake for 45 minutes, checking periodically to make sure they are cooking properly. Add more /less time if necessary. Brownies should be moist but not goopy.
Cool for 10-15 minutes. Store in the refrigerator.
