Machine Learning and Intelligent Vision for the Industrial Edge - NXP's i.MX 8M Plus
Machine Learning in industry and factory automation brings together the need to inspect, analyze and act on data at the edge. Adding intelligent vision-based systems opens up better methods for interacting with machines. The i.MX 8M Plus applications processor integrates dual camera image signal processing acceleration and a neural net processor to accelerate machine learning at the edge. In addition the SoC includes ECC and a TSN-enabled Ethernet controller for Industry 4.0.
While many things are changing in industry, important aspects remain constant -- the need for reliability, longevity, and the ability to operate in harsh conditions.
The i,MX 8M Plus processor is part of NXP's longevity program providing a minimum of 15-years supply from product launch.
