The Boulder Cave with Iron Door in Joshua Tree National Park Calif.
Located in a secluded area of the Joshua Tree National Park. This is a cave in boulders onto which an Iron door was cemented. There is a vent flue to allow a fire inside. The cave is large enough to stand up in and has perhaps 100 square feet of floor space. The door can only be locked from the outside, however the latching mechanism is missing. This vault was created in the 1920's and is not recorded in any NPS literature not can it be found on their maps.
