Tip on Storing Loose Flour Sugar Potato Flakes in Mylar Bags for Long Term Storage

The tip to vacuusealing any loose podwery like substance like flour, sugar, cake mix, cornstarch, potato flakes etc is to place the powder into a ziplock bag first then poke a pin hole or 2 to in the ziplock bag to allow the air to be vacuumed out as you apply suction. You can use this tip with the Food Saver vacuuseal machine or you can use it with the mylar bag/dust buster method of vacuusealing food :) If you have any tips or tricks on long term food storage please feel free to share them :) We would love to hear them :) I am forever learning from you! :)
