2022 Audi A4 — POV Night Drive /// POVDRIVE

The Audi A4 "B9 Generation" has been launched in 2015 till 2021, and the so called "All-New Generation" will be launched after that one, as a completely new car. The B9 generation went through various facelift over the past 6 years : the first launched version (2015-2018), then 2018-2019 (called "2018 facelift"), and finally 2019-2021 ("facelift 2020") ••• The one I drove, was a 2017 2.0 TDI 6 speed manual transmission. Basically, nothing "much" has changed over the past 6 years.. the virtual cockpit was already available in 2015 models.. the ambient light wasn't.. the 2020 facelift doesn't offer for exemple a diesel with a manual gearbox anymore.. and so on. So really minor changes to keep in mind if you plan on acquiring one of these today. Try to not over-pay twice as much for something similar from few years back.. or just wait for the B10 generation to come.

WHAT ABOUT THE CAR ?
👍 Considering the fact that this car "hasn't changed a bit since 2015 to the 2021 version".. you can have a 2015-2018 with all the luxury you can imagine for twice less.. This car has nearly 100.000km (62.000mi) on it, and it feels "brand-new" to me. Aging well is obviously a good thing!
👎 I really liked the A3 Limo https://youtu.be/1YMxq0FWZvg but somehow this car doesn't speak to me.. The wagon version would make much more sense, but this one is not particularly bigger than the A3 Limo, and is looking rather boring. The A3 Limo at least has some sportiness in it. I am just a little bit disappointed, because I was expecting more, and more didn't occur. So basically speaking. I don't think the Audi A4 is to be considered a competitor to the Bmw 3 series G20 or even F30. You can forget the C-class. But what they all have in common, is lack of space in the second row. May not be con for the driver, but for those who will have to seat there for some x period of time.. it will.

ps : As always, I'm trying to see if the least powerful version of a model and standard configuration are good enough ? In this case, the least powerful engine with a basic manual gearbox.. so this is really the bottom of the Audi A4 you can get.. can't go any lower than that ••• Of course it is fine, even though I would rather have an automatic gearbox, this manual is so easy to handle, and you certainly not feel underpowered with those 122hp & +10sec 0/100kmh (0-62mph).

💦 FUEL CONSUMPTION ?
- 7,9L/100km (33,6mpg) on about 150kms (93miles) in the city.. So you can expect even better results in the country side / highways.
