Panasonic GH4 image stabilisation test

I've been been reading up on some I.S. techniques for shooting handlheld with mirrorless cameras and DSLRs and thought I'd upload the results of my experiments so far.

The technique involves using a camera strap to brace the camera around the back of your neck then extending your arms out in front of you holding the camera to put tension on the strap and therefore create a more stable platform. You then pivot around the waist horizontally or vertically to get your moves. No gimbals or other stabilisation devices were used but the lens does have built in powered I.S.

Some shots have definitely come out better than others - I found limited moves are better than sweeping ones, and any slight wobble during the move results in a horrible jerky look - but some of the results are nice.

I cheated a bit by shooting at 90fps and I tried using warp stabilizer in Adobe Premeire as well as recommended by some of the tutorials but found it created all kinds of weird zooming effects. I'll be performing more tests using a handheld motorized gimbal and a glidecam so we'll see how they all compare but in the meantime I'd love to hear what you think and let me know any I.S. techniques you've been playing with yourself.
