🧈 HOW TO MAKE GHEE FROM BUTTER
Step 1: Start with Good-Quality Butter
Use unsalted butter for best results. I used Kerrygold unsalted butter for its rich flavor and high butterfat content. Place it in a clean, heavy-bottomed stainless steel pan.
Step 2: Melt Slowly
Melt the butter on low to medium heat. Do not rush. Let it melt gently.
Step 3: Foaming & Bubbling
The butter will foam and bubble as water evaporates. Crackling sounds are normal.
Step 4: Clarification
Milk solids sink, and the liquid becomes clear and golden.
Step 5: Nutty Aroma
A warm nutty smell means the ghee is ready.
Step 6: Turn Off Heat
Switch off before solids burn.
Step 7: Strain & Store
Filter into a clean glass jar.
Step 8: Cool & Store
Let it cool before sealing. Shelf-stable for months.
