First let me explain to you now there are so many videos coming in YouTube and other WhatsApp and all those things please don't get carried away with all that everybody talks about everything in India that is on issue. First let us understand what is fasting. There are different a varieties of fasting there are people for religious sake they do fasting and different occasions. In that some people do complete fasting absolute fasting where they don't even take water for 24 hours. So that is one type of fasting. The other is instead of eating something they'll eat something different. That is actually not fasting it's already variation of diet. There is something called intermittent fasting where they for about say 18 hours they don't take anything then they take a food later. So depending on that there will be a physiological changes in the body as a whole not only in the colon. What is colon? Colon is a large intestine where it accumulates the whole of our stools and the liquid stools will become solid. In that it absorbs all the water make it into solid and it comes out through the anal canal. So the job of colon is to make these tools solid so when you are fasting and when you are not taking food. So the amount of stool formation will be less. So you may get constipated so if somebody wants to take little amount of food in between. So let them take more of vegetables fruits that sort of thing. So that formation of stools is not affected have enough water and a liquid so that motions become smooth. Otherwise if you do one day fasting something is going to happen to the colon.
