1. Although coyotes resemble wolves, they are two completely different species.

8. Coyotes and badgers sometimes hunt together. The badger digs up the prey and the coyote chases it down.

9. Some urban coyotes have figured out how to use traffic lights. They will stop at a red light and walk on green.

10. A coyote can reach a top speed of 43 mph. A roadrunner’s top speed is about 20 mph.
