What happened to the SRT team? Is it really gone?

What happened to the SRT team, what does it mean for performance vehicles, and what are the future plans of Stellantis? Well, I’m going to tell you all you need to know in this video, Here we go!

The SRT engineering team of approximately 100 people has been broken up by Stellantis.
Online sources tell us that the SRT crew has been dispersed throughout different programs within Stellantis, the main reason for this is to bring the performance expertise into different teams. So what does this mean?

OK, so they’re not making a Hellcat minivan, but it is time for SRT team to once again merge, but this time, it's with 14 brands.

Street & Racing Technology better known as SRT was originally founded in 1989 as "Team Viper'' to develop the Dodge Viper. Around 1997 they merged with "Team Prowler", the engineering team behind the Plymouth Prowler, to become "Specialty Vehicle Engineering" otherwise known as (SVE). In 2002 they changed their name to "Performance Vehicle Operations" (PVO), but since all PVO vehicles used the "SRT" logo, they decided to change their name once again in 2004 to Street & Racing Technology (SRT).

An aggressive and functional exterior and a race-inspired and high-performance interior are the hallmarks of an SRT vehicle, Five key benchmarks must be met before a vehicle can wear the SRT badge. Awe-inspiring powertrain, outstanding ride, handling, capability, and benchmark braking.
