Udyad bhanu sahasra-koti sadrsham keyura haarojwalam
Bimboshteem smitha danta pankthi ruchiram peetambara-alamkrutam
Vishnu brahma surendra sevita padaam tatvaswa rupam sivaam
Meenakshim pranathosmi santata maham karunya vaaraam nidhim (1)

(I bow to the devi Meenakshi) The one who radiants like thousands of rising suns and glowing with her bracelets and necklaces.
Whose lips look like the ripe coccinia(Bimba fruit) in colour, Who has a gentle smile with a beautiful row of teeth and who wears silk garments
Whose feet is worshipped by Vishnu, Brahma and Indra(Surendra) and whose is the form of reality or existence and who is auspicious
I remain ever bowing to the goddess Meenakshi, The ocean of compassion.

Mukthahaara lasat kireeta ruchiram poornendu vakthra prabham
Shinjannupura kimkini mani dharam padma-prabha bhaasuram
Sarvabheetha phalapradam girisutam vaani rama saevitam
Meenakshim pranathosmi santata maham karunya vaaraam nidhim (2)

(I bow to the goddess Meenakshi, whose crown has garlands of pearls and the face shining like a full moon
Who wears anklets that are studded with gemstones and has small bells, who is shining like the splendour of lotus
Who grants all the wishes, the daughter of the mountain, who is worshipped by goddesses Vani and Rama
I remain ever bowing to the goddess Meenakshi, The ocean of compassion.

Srichakrankitha bindhu madhya vasathim srimath sabhaa nayekaam
Srimath Shamukha vignaraja jananeem Srimajjagan mohineem

(I bow to goddess Meenakshi) Who is the manifestation of Shri-Vidya( Devine knowledge), Who is present in the left half of Shiva and shines with the mantra Hrim
The one who lives in the centre of the Bindu (Circle) of the Sri Chakra and is the leader of the court of gods
The mother of Six faced god Shanmukha and Ganesha and the greatest enchantress of the world

Shyamabhaam kamalasanaarchitha-padam narayanasyaanujam

I bow to goddess Meenakshi The consort of Lord Sundareswara, The remover of fears, The bestower of knowledge, The pure one
Who is dark coloured, Whose feet is worshipped by the one who is seated on the lotus ( Brahma), The sister of Narayana
Who enjoys the music of the instruments Veena, Venu(Flute), Mridangam( Classical Indian drum) and the mother of several aspects and forms

Nanaayogi muneendra hruthya vasathim nanaardha siddi pradam
Nanaa pushpa virajithanghri yughalam narayanae-narchitham
Naada brahma mayeem paraath parataram nanardha tatvatmikaam
Meenakshim pranathosmi santata maham karunya vaaraam nidhim (5)

I bow to the goddesses Meenakshi who resides in the heart of yogis and munis( great sages) and bestows many siddhis’s (powers)
Whose feet are adorned with several flowers and who is worshipped by Narayana
Who is the form of Nada Brahma(Devine sound), Who is beyond everything, The innermost tenor of all the forms
