I had to do mortises on a couple doors and also plane a couple of doors for my day job. I needed some sort of secure set up for holding my doors up. Normally i would just stand above the door with a leg on each side but I knew I had to do some detailed work. I found this design on youtube and wanted to make a video for my viewers.
This jig worked great and it didn’t cost me anything. You can make this out of 2x4 or 2x6 or really whatever you want.

You need two pieces of wood about 2 1/2 -3’ long. You also need another piece of wood about 6-8 inches long to make the wedges.
