Today I am going to break down how to play the blues, specifically rhythm, in the style of some interesting shuffles. If you know and understand the underlying harmony, or the chord that you are playing over, you are able to dive into the shuffle on a deeper level. The 7 chord is a root, 3rd, 5th and b7th so an E7 is E, G#, B, D with another interval, the 6th, C#, being a great color tone as well. Understanding that we can take a basic guitar shuffle and take it to the next level, lets break it down!
