Philmont Day 10: Beaubien to Carson Meadow

Day 10 at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM.

It was a long day with a significant elevation drop from Beaubien (9330) to Carson Meadows (7758) by a rocky, bouldery, steep trail. The slow-going 3-hour decline into the lush open space was worth it.

Along the way we went to see the B-24 crash remains on Trail Peak.

Almost as soon as we had set up camp, rain and hail greeted us. And, even though we were hungry and dinner time was upon us, no one wanted to put forth the energy to start. And, there was absolutely no interest in doing KP. Too tired...
