BLM arrests inside Rochester Police Department Public Safety Building

Members of Free the People Roc were arrested Wednesday, Sept. 2, inside the Rochester Police Department Public Safety Building as they tried to attend Mayor Lovely Warren's news conference about the death of Daniel Prude while in police custody in March. Free the People Roc organizers and Daniel Prude's family spoke to the media earlier in the day in front of City Hall, and they wanted to listen to the mayor speak at her news conference, which was moved from City Hall to the Rochester Police Department. Rochester Police were directing only members of the media to the sixth floor of the Public Safety Building for the news conference when Free the People Roc organizers went though a secure door on the second floor to find out where the mayor was speaking.
