Best Camping Day Ever 1009

We are doing a very first for both Adley and Niko today! Adley was watching Barbie and she saw them go camping in their backyard and Adley thought that would be fun! So we're doing it!! But we have zero camping stuff, so we all head to the store to find a tent, lanterns, and stuff for smores. I have to say, I love the shopping routine we've started as a family. We know what we need to get but then Adley and baby brother help us and a lot of the time, it's hilarious!!

Back at the house, we bring everything into the backyard and start setting things up. I'm kinda nervous about setting up the tent because I remember doing it when I was a kid and it was always a pain, and now I'll have to race against the sun so I don't lose all my light! But thankfully, tents have got better and this was a lot easier. Adley and Niko Bear help out getting the tent up too.

With the tent set up, Adley gives us a tent tour before we go get our sleeping bags and change into our pajamas to have a backyard sleepover. We get a fire going and make s'mores before getting in the tent for the night. But it's story time before bed, and Adley tells the cutest little story with shadow puppets!
