This is Lieutenant Junior Grade Marvin Jones, I had the good fortune of deploying with him to Afghanistan in 2012.

This guy grew up on the mean streets of Baltimore. With the odds stacked against him, he managed to steer clear of gangs, dope and a dead end lifestyle when those around him told him he'd never amount to much.

Today he's accomplished much more than anyone thought he could. He served as Americas finest in the USMC while earning his masters degree and now is leading the next generation of service members as an officer.
