Iraq and Syria condemn 'blatant act of aggression' of US airstrikes | Middle East tensions

The governments of Iraq and Syria have accused the US of a blatant act of aggression, after a series of airstrikes targeting Iranian backed militias.

85 targets were hit according to the United States military, including intelligence centres, command facilities and storage bunkers.

President Biden said that such strikes would continue "at times and places of our choosing", while repeating that the US "did not seek conflict in the middle east, or anywhere else in the world."
