Having trouble with Espeons & genders in Pokemon Sword (Ep.5)

Our Pokemon Sword journey continues, and this is a bit of a frantic episode from the get go!
We start with a time crunch trying to evolve an Eevee into an Espeon whilst the game clock is still day, before moving on to battle Bea in Stow-on-Sides gym.
We make some shocking toilet-related discoveries on the way, before taking on Opal in Ballonleas gym.
All I can say is, those damn Espeons.
