У 1917 році чоловік на ім’я Хо Ван Ша покине свій дім у Китаї та відправиться у довгий та тяжкий шлях в надії опинитися подалі від війни. Він зупиниться у Полтаві, де побудує дім, житиме чесною працею та почне сім’ю. Там його зватимуть Михайлом. Його донька Віра стане моєю бабусею. Вона переживе Голодомор та другу світову війну, але нам все одно не доведеться зустрітися: за декілька днів після мого народження її забере рак. Свого дідуся з тієї сторони сім’ї я також ніколи не побачу. Коли я виросту і захочу дізнатися більше про минуле своєї сім’ї, виявиться, що це неможливо. Mіський архів згорів.
Інколи вечорами я уявлятиму їх, питатиму себе, які вони були? Звідки і від чого, куди й навіщо йшли? Чим жили? Кого любили?
У цій пісні декілька секунд співатиме китайська флейта Ді Зі. Її голосом нехай відзвучить та частина моєї історії, до якої мені ніколи не вдасться доторкнутися. Тому, якщо якісь моменти цієї колисковою здаються вам якимись занадто вже сумними - вам не здається:)

P. S.: Наступні півроку я, нажаль, дуже рідко з’являтимусь тут. Наразі життя складається так, що я не маю достатньо часу та інших ресурсів, щоб далі займатися тим, що люблю, і створювати музику і відео у такому форматі. Нащастя я маю в запасі декілька робіт, які почала вже колись раніше і відклала. Тому я інколи повертатимусь, якщо вийде їх закінчити. Або із записами своїх живих виступів. Також ви можете доєднатися до мого патреону, там я буду ділитися своїми музичними «чернетками» і, якщо нас збереться хоча б осіб 20, залюбки буду інколи зустрічатися з вами на онлайн-квартирники. Заспівати декілька пісень під гітару я завжди час знайду:)

About the song:
In 1917, a man named Ho Wan Sha left his home in China and set out on a long and arduous journey in the hope of getting away from the war. He will stop in Poltava, where he will build a house, live by honest labor, and start a family. There he will be called Mykhailo. His daughter Vira will become my grandmother. She will survive the Holodomor and World War II, but we won’t have a chance to meet: a few days after I will be born, she’ll die of cancer. I will also never see my grandfather on that side of the family. When I will grow up and want to learn more about my family's past, it will turn out to be impossible. Our city archive burned down.
Sometimes in the evenings I will imagine them, ask myself what they were like, how they lived, whom they loved.
In this song, Chinese flute Di Zi will sing for a few seconds. Let her voice tell the part of my story that I will never be able to be in touch with. So, if some moments of this lullaby seem really sad for you - you’re not wrong:)
