A leading YouTube sensation Carryminati, also known as Ajay Nagar is said to make a Bollywood debut with Amitab Bachchan and Ajay Devgan. According to the officials, Ajay Nagar will be starring in the thriller-drama film “MayDay” directed by Ajay Devgan.
The 21-year-old, better known for his roasting videos and rap songs, will be in a similar environment playing the part of a social media sensation in the film. It is one of the main reasons why CarryMinati signed the film.
He is not the only YouTube sensation debuting on Bollywood, before him Shirley Setia, Prajakta Koli and Bhuvan Bam have already appeared on the Bollywood.
Talking about CarryMinati debut, he said, “I remember enacting these skills as a child and my parents always thought I’d grow up to be an actor. Acting is something that comes naturally to me just like music so it’s no rocket science for me really.”
He added that he hoped to learn “a thing or two about acting while I’m at it”. To his YouTube’s 27 million subscribers, he assured that this step didn’t mean he is leaving YouTube. He said that he is just exploring and experimenting within the creative gamut, but content creation will always be his passion and true calling.
CarryMinati is soon to join the casting crew in Hyderabad and the film is expected to be released on April 29, 2022.
