Climbing out the saddle is often best on a steep incline and allows you to generate more torque and power. Emma show's you how to avoid kickback while getting out of the saddle, a key skill for riding in a group. She also offers her advice on gearing as often you will be forced out of the saddle if you run out of gears. Weight distribution and body positioning are key when riding out the saddle, making sure you maintain rear wheel traction. Remember practice makes perfect, so get out there and give it a go!
