For our second series, we are analyzing Cormac McCarthy’s masterpiece Blood Meridian. Taking place after the Mexican-American War, Blood Meridian paints a fallen and hopeless world caught up in a never ending cycle of bloodshed and violence. For part 1, we are taking a look at the historical context which grounds the novel.
