lecture five
The study of movement of a body means the study of everything related to the body’s position, speed and acceleration. Body movement is defined as "the continuous change in the position of the body." There are many types of movement, such as transitional, rotational, and vibrational, and we will deal in this chapter with transitional movement, which is that all parts of the body move in the same direction, that is, without rotation, and this is facilitated by assuming an infinitesimal movement called the Particle. The body is treated as a geometric point, and it has mass rather than dimensions, and an accurate description of the movement of such a point represents a complete description of the movement of the body as a whole. The particle is a theoretical idea intended to facilitate mathematical calculations. This is called the linear motion transition in a straight line.
