Elvis Lives in Parkes documentary (2006)

Despite the threat of bushfires, flood, public ridicule, financial loss, theft and outright exhaustion, a small band of devotees from the rural town of Parkes (NSW) have battled against the odds to create the biggest, and most unlikely Elvis Presley Festival in Australia. This documentary was filmed in 2006 and covers the first 13 years of the Festival. It screened on SBS TV at the time. The Festival continues to grow, prosper and be a major tourism boon for the Central NSW region.
