State of the World's Birds: Presentation at BirdLife World Congress
State of the World's Birds: what birds tell us about the health of the planet, and the impact of the BirdLife International Partnership.
This video is of the remarkable presentation which launched the State of the World's Birds report at the BirdLife International World Congress, given by Alison Stattersfield at the Plenary session, Saturday 22 June 2013. It was given in front of 500 conservationists from all over the world in Ottawa, Canada.
The report 'State of the World's Birds: Indicators for our changing world' shows us what is happening to birds around the world and, most importantly, how and where we can take action.
It presents some great examples of our success and the crucial scientific basis for that work.
Including animated interviews from key figures in the BirdLife Partnership, which were filmed at the Congress itself.
Watch to understand how birds are excellent indicators for the state of our planet, and what we are doing to help it!
