Many people have a hard time believing that healing is always the will of God, often because of personal experiences or disappointments. But at the beginning, man was never created to carry sickness in his body. In this episode we begin to look at what was God’s original intent for mankind and is healing always God’s will for us?

Is healing always the will of God?

When Jesus was on the earth 2,000 years ago, He lived in a body and was perfectly healthy. Likewise, the body of Christ should be healthy.

The will of God is found in the Word of God.
God is sovereign which means He is all powerful and the Most High. He will never break His Word. It doesn’t mean that everything that happens is the will of God.

The Word was God.
John 1:1-3 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

God has exalted His Word above His Name.
Ps 138:2 I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

God sent His Word to heal.
Ps 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

God watches over His Word to accomplish it.
Jeremiah 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My Word to perform it.”
Ps 89:34 My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

Jesus bore our sickness so we don’t have to bear it.
Matt 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

Matthew 13 states that Jesus spoke in parables because those who have a heart will understand, but those who do not won’t understand. He said they don’t want to repent. The word repent is the Greek word "metanoeo" Strongs #3340 which means to change the way you think. They have eyes but don’t see and ears but don’t hear.

Jesus wants to heal everyone but people have to be willing to change the way they think.
Matthew 13:15 for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that i should heal them.'

In Mark 6, we see that Jesus could not (not that He would not) heal because of unbelief.

People make the Word of God of no effect because of their traditions.
Mark 7:7-13 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.” 9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift to God), 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

When people don’t get healed, it’s not because God broke His Word, it’s because some people have been taught the wrong thing.
James 1:7-8 tells us that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways and won’t receive anything.
You must have a strong foundation.

Healing is always the will of God
Gen 1:26 tells us that God made man in His image. God created man perfect; spirit, soul and body. God is perfect. God never created sickness. God never created man to carry sickness in his body. The will of God at the beginning was for man to be healthy, strong and without sickness or deformity.
