Talk to any woman with spider veins on her legs, and she'll probably tell you that they're the bane of her existence.

Fist off: What are spider veins??

Spider veins are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that also twist and turn. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin, as well. The veins are a group of dilated veins that appear close to the surface of the skin and look like spider webs or tree branches Spider veins can be a sign of blood backup deeper inside that you can't see on the skin. They are typically visible on the legs and face. If so, you could have the same symptoms you would have with varicose veins. Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted. Varicose veins are visible, protruding veins that appear just under the skin. The word "varicose" comes from the Latin root varix for "twisted." Varicose veins may not cause any problems, or they may cause aching pain, throbbing, and discomfort. This is what I had... one big painful varicose vein in my left leg... it went from my thigh allllll the way down to my mid-calf... and the scary part was it was pumping blood that was pooling into the bottom half of my leg!!! Terrifying. Several options are available to remove spider veins — I chose Sclerotherapy, which is a series of injections in the leg, targeting the spots that have veins. You can also get laser treatments and surgical procedures to remove the veins completely.

A home remedy that apparently works well is taking vitamin C and apple cider vinegar... apparently these are very crucial in the treatment of spider veins.

I personally feel it was worth every dime getting my legs fixed. I felt so confident and amazing the summer I had this done. It has been life changing... my legs no longer throb and hurt by the end of the day - and I feel like I got my youth back in some strange way... I spent basically my entire 20's feeling self conscious about this.
