🔹 El Conjunto Chappottín y sus Estrellas fue fundado en 1949, por el afrocubano tres-guitarrista, compositor y director Arsenio Rodríguez, conocido como “El Ciego Maravilloso”, razón por la cual se mudaría a New York para recobrar la visión. Fue en ese entonces cuando decidió que sus tareas con su ALL STARS debieron ser transferidas a su primer trompeta Félix Chappottín.
En ese momento, la original Arsenio Rodríguez All Stars Band pasó a llamarse CONJUNTO CHAPPOTTÍN y SUS ESTRELLAS. El grupo fue liderado por Félix Chappottín junto con Luis “Pili” Martínez Griñán, como arreglista y Miguelito Cuní como voz líder. Bajo la coordinación de la trompeta de Félix Chappottín, que sólo puede ser comparada con Louis Amstrong, la banda logró la fama internacional, haciendo giras y amenizando a bailadores en diferentes lugares del mundo. La saga ha continuado con su hijo Ángel Chappottín y actualmente con su nieto Jesús A. Chappottín más conocido como "El Niño Chappottín".
