This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2022 Porsche Cayenne mid-size luxury SUV. If you want an SUV with an entertaining and sporty drive, look no further than the Porsche Cayenne. Our test model is the base Cayenne with a 3L turbocharged V6 and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque with standard AWD. You have to put premium fuel in this Cayenne. Other models available include, the Cayenne S, E-Hybrid, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S E-Hybrid and Turbo GT. Horsepower power ranges from 335 on the base model to 670 combined horsepower on the Turbo S E-Hybrid. What’s new for 2022? An updated infotainment system that now includes, wireless Apple Carplay and wired Android Auto. The Navigation system is quicker and the voice recognition software has been updated to better recognize instructions. There is also a new Platinum Edition trim which adds satin finishes to the exterior, black sport tailpipes, 21” RS Spyder design wheels, chalk seatbelts and brushed aluminum door entry sills. This model comes with more standard features like a panoramic sunroof, Bose sound system and leather sport seats. It is available on the base Cayenne, S and E-Hybrid models. The Cayenne offers standard features like a 12.3” touchscreen, 8-way power heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, 10-speaker audio system, power liftgate, LED headlights and LED taillights plus 19” wheels.
