This is the first part of a video on that introduces you to some informal activities that can be used to assess learners with dyslexia. They aim to gather information about a range of abilities, including phonological awareness, sequential memory, and reading and writing.

Once you’ve assessed the learner, you’ll be able to recommend how they should be supported, set targets for them, and monitor their progress.
