Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program builds a reef on the Piankatank River
VCU Life Sciences' Ron Lopez put together a short film shot from his drone of the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program's efforts to build a reef from oyster shell in the lower Piankatank off Gwynn's Island. Nearly 5 million oysters were planted last week, with each shell strike averaging over 20 per shell. #DontChuckThatShuck
