Hey Paula (Remastered) is performed by pop duo Paul & Paula (Ray Hildebrand, born December 21, 1940, and Jill Jackson, born May 20, 1942). Their million-selling hit record became a pop standard love song, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the entire month of February 1963, and also made it to number one on the Hot R&B Singles chart.

They were never married. Since their days as a singing duo, Jill and Ray have remained friends, and well into the early 2000s, they occasionally would get together to sing as Paul & Paula for special events, such as oldies shows.

Ray Hildebrand, who topped the pop charts in the 1960s as half of the duo Paul & Paula, died Friday in Kansas City at age 82. No cause of death has been given.
