Calculating a Taxi Fare using the Shapley Value

In this video I describe an important idea of cooperative game theory: The Shapley value. At 3:51 there's a mistake, the marginal contribution made by C is 30. The Shapley value is still correct. Thanks to Brandon Hurr over on G+ for pointing that out!

I use the example of calculating a fair payement distribution of a shared taxi ride as an illustration.

At the end of the video I use some Sage code to that anyone can play with. Since then code has been included in Sage that does all this automatically. You can read the documentation here: http://www.sagemath.org/doc/reference/game_theory/sage/game_theory/cooperative_game.html

and there's a publicly shared worksheet on cloud.sagemath.com that demonstrates it: https://cloud.sagemath.com/projects/d4c881f7-0726-402e-82a9-173949d4a3c5/files/Shapley_Value.sagews
