At the concert, mgk gave a heartfelt shoutout to Sydney Sweeney, who was in attendance. He told the crowd the night was especially meaningful not only because it marked the final Australian show, but also because Sweeney—whom he described as a close friend—was part of the Tickets to My Downfall era.

mgk recalled how Sweeney agreed to star in his short film Downfalls High for free, despite being at the height of her rising fame during Euphoria. He credited her support as instrumental in bringing his vision for the album to life, and expressed his gratitude by telling her he loved her and hoped she could see the impact of what they created together reflected in the arena that night.

mgk said, "It's not only special because of what the energy you guys brought. And it's not just special 'cause it's our last Australian show. It's also special 'cause a friend of mine who was a part of this era [Tickets to My Downfall era] is in the building with me tonight. Her name is Sydney Sweeney. She took a call from me when I asked her. I was like, 'I'm gonna do this short film [Downfalls High] around this album that I have coming out, and I really feel like this album is gonna change culture. It's gonna bring back the fun. It's gonna bring back the rock that we loved as kid.' And she did this film for me for free. At the height of Euphoria when everyone was trying to get her, and she did it for me as a friend. And I just want to say, from me to you, I love you so much, and I hope that you can see the impact in this arena tonight and what you helped bring to life. And so, with that being said, while she's here, let's show her what this album does."

Following the concert, Sydney Sweeney shared a video on her Instagram Story capturing the moment mgk performed “ay!” during the show. She wrote “so proud of you” on the story.
