General George Patton's Role in the Battle of the Bulge

This video analyses the question: To what extent did George Patton’s leadership contribute to the outcome of victory at the Battle of the Bulge?

Patton’s fast redeployment of his troops, counterattack, and eventual liberation of Bastogne can all be attributed to the general’s leadership. However, less frequently mentioned is the dire situation (especially in fuel) for the German attackers, the early stubborn defense provided by American units (like in Bastogne and St. Vith), along with the clearing of the weather allowing for Allied air support.
