IONNA just opened a brand-new 400kW DC fast charging site just 5 minutes from San Quentin — and it’s one of the most interesting new EV charging locations in the Bay Area. ⚡ This site features Alpitronic HYC400 dispensers, supports CCS today, and is positioned for future NACS compatibility for Tesla, Rivian, Ford Lightning, Silverado EV and other EVs.

In this video, I join the Bay Area Rivian Club to check out the new IONNA “Satellite” location in Larkspur, CA right next to a hotel, across from a busy shopping center, and near the San Francisco ferry terminal. It’s a strategically placed charging stop for commuters and road trippers alike.

We plug in my Ford F-150 Lightning to test real-world charging performance. While the charger is capable of up to 400kW, the Lightning peaks at 191kW — and we take a close look at the charging curve, on-screen session data, cable reach for larger trucks, and overall site layout.
